Loop

Loop is one of two large paintings completed for Aberdeen University, in addition to Azam’s monumental bronze sculpture, Evolutionary Loop 517 located outside the Sir Duncan Rice Library. The library was officially opened in September 2012 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, and the sculpture soon became a defining landmark for the university campus.

The sister work for Loop is in the Collection of Aberdeen University. This painting is being exhibited for the first time.
