Nocturne

Nocturne was completed on return from AZAM’s Saiful Malook project in Pakistan: the abstract motifs are informed by Azam’s physical and psychological reaction to lake Saiful Malook’s desolate environment. The work is a response to the exclusive opportunity visit and experience the lake look at night time; due to the political tensions and strict security protocols, such permission had never been allowed before.
 

Nocturne was included in the Saiful Malook solo exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery in 2019.
